is the diagnosis I was given in October of 2014...
www.clotconnect.org
I had spent a week or so fighting a swollen leg, shortness of breath and an inability to walk or ride my bike. I had no idea what was wrong with me and having (at that time) a motorcycle note and student loans that were almost paid off , I considered going into the hospital an unacceptable luxury that I couldn't afford... As it ended up I spent 8 1/2 weeks between 2 hospitals. I was diagnosed within 20 minutes at Hugley Hospital in Fort Worth and a week later transferred to J.P.S. (John Peter Smith) Downtown where I spent the rest of my stay alone, isolated and in constant fear that I would die at 36 with so much left to do...
- The precise number of people affected by DVT/PE is unknown, although as many as 900,000 people could be affected (1 to 2 per 1,000) each year in the United States.
- Estimates suggest that 60,000-100,000 Americans die of DVT/PE (also called venous thromboembolism).
- 10 to 30% of people will die within one month of diagnosis.
- Sudden death is the first symptom in about one-quarter (25%) of people who have a PE.
- Among people who have had a DVT, one third to one half will have long-term complications (post-thrombotic syndrome) such as swelling, pain, discoloration, and scaling in the affected limb.
- One-third (about 33%) of people with DVT/PE will have a recurrence within 10 years.
- Approximately 5 to 8% of the U.S. population has one of several genetic risk factors, also known as inherited thrombophilias in which a genetic defect can be identified that increases the risk for thrombosis

Massive and Painful Swelling Are Common Symptoms of D.V.T.
March is officially D.V.T. awareness month.
played a factor in Judge Kings decision to deny me disability. He felt if iI was truely sick I would have taken the filtered metallic death trap in my leg...
(Does that include licensing, your honor)
I hate to sound as if I am unsympathetic to the problems in the world, but this corruption has to stop.

I told him that I"d rather come out of this alive"...
I was told to "work in marketing"...

A Note From The Author:
on something that you "have to do" so you might one day do what you want to do, with 0 pay 0 help and 0 understanding from the people already bennifiting from the world you help to create.
Before I got sick all I did was work.
Now, twice as hard at an out of pocket expense.
(Thanks much your honor)
See, in the United States of America you are not considered as "disabled" if you can even think about doing what can be considered as gainful work. Now, is it gainful to yourself??
Probably not and it doesn't matter!
You will be asking a department of the Government whos jobs are fueled by statistics and budget quotas each with designated advocates AGAINST awarding Benefits for or to the same United States Citizens who pay into the service that is paying the $160,000 a year salary (weather they work or not) they live on while they decide if your claim has a merrit or if the Doctors you are treated by are qualified to determine you as unable to work...
" I cant imagine or fathom how a Disability Judge is more qualified or better yet qualified enough in internal medicine or patholagy in anatomy & physiology to sit in judgement that a doctor (who was right by the way) is "speaking outside of his area of expertise"...
Now I know I sound full of Venom and Spite,
I'm disappointed more than angry. I lost my faith in pretty much everything that ever mattered to me as I watched the departure of pretty much everything that mattered from me...
If & When you get sick in the United States Don't Make The Mistakes I Made...
You Need To Realize No one is going to help you. No1 in an official capacity is what I mean.
Your job,
If they know you are sick they
will need a work release to cover them before allowing you back to work, which without you do not work.
(Let's assume this is #1)
Healthcare,
Lets be real! I now have bills in collections from out of state from a pain management clinic I never went to, which my P.C.P (Primary Care Physician) referred me to after cutting my pain medication for no explanation at all..?
(#2)
Reality,
When reality kicks in you start to realize you would have been better off had you just died...
That's how I feel most days anyways. I have spoken with several others who have and are going through the same situation under the same judicial ruling from the same judge and most of them are in 3 times as much pain as ANYONE I personally know receiving disability benefits.
I can't work (especially with a 5 year gap in employment (before which was exemplary, quoted the denying
Judge) I cant stand, walk, sit or feel my left leg most days an when I can feel it, it hurts so bad from swelling I consider self-amputation.
(#3)
The Cost,
I can start with ANY money you saved up for your future, gone.
Now, to what future? Credit, lol gone.
Assets, cars, motorcycle, electronic equiptment (worth way more than you got for selling) investments and jewlery all gone.
With these statistics and a worsening condition Judge Ward D. King denied me disability and placed me from a position of "preventable" to
"COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED"...
Struggling To Walk Again
5 years now and I can STILL no longer feel my leg.The numbness is so painful that I just want tocut it off from the knee down. My left foot is consistently swollen, purple or vericos and my Doctor stopped my pain meds with an explanation of "I cant be writing ALL THESE pain pills"...
WTF??
4 years and I never once abused, sold, came short or asked for more, in fact its on record that 3 months prior I had reduced the script count and frequency to start weening...
This is what cripples me, made me lose my faith, in the hospital I have never felt so scared and alone and since I got out I just wish I was dead.
Pain, I hurt all the time...
I've lost everything I worked so hard on because of some judge (specialising in denial) denied me on TECHNICALITY and not FACT OR MERRIT)

New Complications With Covid-19
FRIDAY, May 29, 2020 (HealthDay News) -- In a small French study, three-quarters of all COVID-19 patients admitted to intensive care went on to experience a dangerous blood clot in the leg that can travel to the lungs and potentially cause death.
Known as a DVT, the condition first gained notoriety as so-called "economy class syndrome," when passengers on long-haul flights developed them after sitting still for too long. But the clots can be life-threatening, and the frequency at which they are showing up in COVID-19 patients is cause for alarm, experts say.

She has learned the importance of taking care of herself and to speak up and be the best advocate for her own health. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/WTDay20?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#WTDay20</a> <a href="https://t.co/ekNLzR8Kot">pic.twitter.com/ekNLzR8Kot</a></p>— World Thrombosis Day (@thrombosisday) <a href="https://twitter.com/thrombosisday/status/1329382708397666305?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">November 19, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
